Designed a 24/7 cloud-native linear television broadcast system from scratch. This project demonstrates the intersection of traditional broadcast engineering and modern web delivery. It utilizes a Python orchestrator to dynamically manipulate HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) manifests.
The playout engine calculates time-deltas to generate sliding-window playlists, enabling infinite circular buffering of VOD assets. It handles stream routing, buffer management, and discontinuity transitions.
Core Architecture Features:
I have always had a passion for technology and it has lead me to explore many different areas of tech. One such interest is in networking that led me to get my CCNA. After exploring the networking field I stumbled across IP Broadcast Networking. I began to look more into the intersection of tech and media as they are two things I enjoy very much. Once I went down the path of video engineering, it was obvious to me that this is what I want to do. Nothing has gripped me and excited me in tech as much as working with video. From video compression to media supply chains it is the most interesting work I have pursued.
On a personal note, some things I enjoy are anime, sitcoms, video games, and obviously tech. I'm a big dog lover, but an even bigger cat admirer. Spring is my favorite season and my favorite bands are The Strokes, Radiohead, Title Fight, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I like trying out different cafes on Sundays and going on walks when the weather is nice. The anime I am currently watching is One Piece.
